Fashion Forward Fun
Harumika, for ages 6 and up, is a new fashion design line that’s already big in Japan. Girls just wrap the dress form in the exclusive fabrics (shown here: the Precious Petals collection), secure them using the stylus design tool, and add decorative fashion accessories. Girls can then take photos of their designs with the included camera and upload them to the Harumika.com site, where they can participate in online fashion shows or create their own “Look Book” collections.

The decorating kit includes a pink travel case, two sheets of EVA glitter stickers, one sheet of holographic stickers, a name tag, ribbon, three colors of glitter glue (silver, pink and purple), rhinestones and pony beads. The kit is part of a new DIY line of decorative activity kits for tween girls.

The complete kit includes a flower-shaped storage studio, three vases and more than 200 pieces to create a dozen flowers. Additional sets are sold separately.

Kidding Around

Kids products that combine high play value and a design sensibility that blends with mom and dad's house are sure winners for specialty shops, who can market themselves as an alternative to cheap plastic imports and their problematic safety records.

EcoGreen

Green products have become more of a staple now. The products are not only good for the environment, today's collections also boast great design.

Just for Fun

Vendors' sense of fun was evident this summer with many offering light-hearted and fun accessories for the home and for the self.
