Puerto Rico Authorities Seize 10,000 Counterfeit Barbie Dolls

barbieSAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Federal authorities in Puerto Rico seized 10,000 counterfeit Barbie dolls arriving from China.

On Jan. 4, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that the shipment had a value of more than $41,000. The 12-inch, copycat Barbie dolls came with a tiny toy dog. All of the dolls have been destroyed.

Officials said that nearly 300 shipments in Puerto Rico were seized last year for intellectual property violations.
