By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 8/1/2008 7:41:00 AM

LOS ANGELES—Former DIC Entertainment executive Ryan Gagerman has been named vice president, international licensing, for Paramount Consumer Products & Recreation Group.

In this newly created position, Gagerman will oversee all of the division’s licensing sales activities in foreign markets. Alex Schondorf, the divison's manager of international licensing, will continue in his role and will now report to Gagerman.

“We are aggressively expanding our efforts in the international market, and we are fortunate to have someone with Ryan’s expertise who can jump in and hit the ground running,” said Michael Corcoran, the division’s president. “We are delighted to have him on the team.”

Gagerman was with DIC Entertainment from 1995 to 2008, where he most recently held the position of vice president and regional manager, Asia Pacific. In that role, he was responsible for all business units, including television, home entertainment, new media and consumer products in India, Japan, Greater China, South-East Asia and Austral-Asia. From 2005 to 2007, Gagerman was vice president, international consumer products.
