P.J. Pierce, Maryann Martin named VPs at CCP

-- Gifts and Dec, 5/12/2010 11:57:00 AM

NEW YORK—P.J. Pierce and Maryann Martin both have been promoted to vice president for CBS Consumer Products, according to Liz Kalodner, executive vice president and general manager.

Pierce, who was named vice president of licensing, heads up the division’s soft goods category. He is responsible for developing strategic branded licensing partnerships in apparel, accessories and related categories for CBS’s entire portfolio of properties including current TV shows such as America’s Next Top Model, 90210 and the CSI franchise as well as classic TV shows such as Star Trek, The Brady Bunch and Twilight Zone.

As vice president of operations, Martin will continue to run the operations area, including developing and maintaining the Contract Management System and asset management and approvals systems. She also contributes to the product development of video games, publishing and live shows, and is the brand expert for the CSI and NCIS franchises, Criminal Minds and Ghost Whisperer.

“P.J. has closed some of our largest direct-to-retail deals, such as the America’s Next Top Model apparel line with Walmart, and continues to bring creative, innovative ideas to the table every day,” said Kalodner. “Maryann has played a vital role in managing partnerships with all of our licensees, as well as being the go-to expert for many of our key brands. Both of these promotions are well deserved.”

Pierce joined CCP in January 2008 as director of licensing after spending seven years at Sweetface Fashion Company, where he oversaw the growth of the global licensing division for the JLO by Jennifer Lopez brand. Before that, he spent several years working as an account executive at public relations firms Edelman and Hill and Knowlton.

Martin has worked for CBS’s licensing arm in various capacities for the last 10 years, most recently as director of operations. Previously, she was a marketing manager for Westinghouse Broadcasting and worked in affiliate relations at ABC.

In addition, John Punturieri was promoted from manager of operations to director of operations. He manages CCP’s accounting and financial reporting systems, and he runs all retail and online store operations.
