AmericasMart Atlanta named David Savula to the newly created position of executive vice president in charge of home and gift leasing for all permanent showroom facilities in Buildings One, Two and Two West Wing. Savula’s promotion, approved by the AMC Board on April 27, follows a seven-year tenure as senior vice president in charge of AmericasMart’s home showroom leasing. 

AmericasMart also named Brett Austin vice president in charge of marketing and sales services. He previously served as AMC marketing and publishing procurement/production director for the past four years. Prior to joining AMC in 2006, Austin served as production director at Grey Direct.

7 W New York hired Tania Perez-Nieves to lead its newly created Showroom Sales Specialist Initiative, which is designed to allow more showrooms to take advantage of 7 W’s day-to-day, in-between market traffic. She

has more than 15 years of experience in showroom management and sales and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Perez-Nieves will be available to showrooms for high level training and product/brand immersion; be regularly stationed in the lobby; provide buyers with product information and company contacts; communicate sales leads and make sure they’re followed up; make sure participating showrooms are in order with the right contact signage displayed and reach out to customers.

Urban Expositions expanded its buyer relations team for the September 22-24 edition of the Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show, by appointing Briana Mackey as buyer relations representative. Mackey will be working with Urban Expositions buyer relations directors Cece Lee and Jhana Jordan. In her new role, Mackey, who is based in Las Vegas, will be making personal visits to retail stores in the Clark County area and throughout the Western region to secure their attendance. Part of the original executive team that oversaw the opening and initial operation of the World Market Center Las Vegas, Mackey went on to work with dmg world media as the commercial director for Australian business and consumer events. She launched her trade show career as a buyer relations representative, and then director of marketing, for the L.A. Mart, then launched her own company, Trade Show Temps. From there she joined the Columbus Marketplace.
