Austin, TX — Home furnishings vendor Four Hands acquired Bluefish Home, a furniture company based in Marietta, GA. This is Four Hands second acquisition in three months; the company recently purchased Architects & Heroes, a lighting company, in March. In addition, Four Hands launched two brands in the last year: bina and Boulevard.
“We are excited about adding Bluefish and its key furniture collections to our growing family of brands under the Four Hands corporate umbrella…Bluefish fits into our strategic growth plan for 2010, and we’re pleased to welcome their customers to Four Hands,” said Matthew Briggs, Four Hands president and CEO.
Bluefish Home produced its line of furniture in Honduras and Four Hands plans on continuing to work with the Bluefish factory there, but distribution will move to the Four Hands corporate headquarters in Austin. The company also plans on moving forward with three Bluefish collections: Metro, Copenhagen and Primativa. Four Hands will launch the Bluefish brand at the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market in July and the Las Vegas Market in August.
