Alexa's Angels Top Colorado Co. to Watch

Windsor, CO — Alexa's Angels, best known for its collection of jewelry and fashion accessories, was named one of 50 Alexa CEO Beth Lang shown at right with Kelli Kottenstette, national sales managerColorado Companies to Watch for 2010. The company was recognized for its charitable contributions within the community, as well as its economic growth.

The award, hosted by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade in partnership with the Edward Lowe Fdn., recognizes second-stage companies that are developing products and services, creating jobs, enriching communities and creating new industries throughout the state. More than 425 companies were nominated and the winners were chosen by a panel of independent judges. To be eligible, companies had to be privately held with six to 99 full-time equivalent employees and have $750,000–$50 million in sales or working capital.

The winners were honored at a Gala Awards event on June 18. "We are honored to be recognized among so many successful Colorado-based companies. It is a tribute to our entire team who truly understands our core values and who are committed to being part of a socially responsible, successful, growing company," said Beth Lang, founder and CEO.

This company is awesome! They donated the set of 3 positivity bracelets to the entire staff of the elementary school where I work. It is a difficult environment and I wanted to remind everyone that they do such good and important work. The company didn't bat an eye when I told them my idea and requested the bracelets. We put a set of 3 bracelets in a few mailboxes at a time and watched the positivity spread. It was fun to watch everyone's faces when they got the bracelets, and to watch the smiles spread on their faces when they read the directions of how to share in spreading positivity. When things get hectic and feel frustrating, you can sometimes catch someone pointing to their bracelet to remind their coworkers to "STAY POSITIVE".
