Playthings Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 7/6/2010 3:29:00 PM

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Maple Landmark Woodcraft, manufacturer of high quality, American-made wooden toys, gifts and games has reached an agreement with Plush Toys of New Zealand for the distribution of Maple Landmark's newest product line, Schoolhouse Naturals, to New Zealand and Australian retailers. Mini Monster Bus by Maple LandmarkThe Mini Monster Bus is part of Maple Landmark's Schoolhouse Naturals Line.

Plush Toys prides itself on finding and then offering an award-winning collection of classic toys and playthings to their retailers.

"At Plush Toys, we love nice things, especially eco-friendly, natural, organic and ethically made toys for babies and children and Maple Landmark offers a phenomenal range of award winning maple wooden toys," said Looie James, principal of Plush Toys. "We believe that everything starts with play and through play many things are discovered for the first time. Providing our children with quality time and quality toys offer them the best start available, thus enhancing their development and individuality."

The Schoolhouse Naturals line consists of rattles, building blocks, simple trucks, teethers and ABC blocks - all the beginner play toys a child might need. All products in the line are crafted from responsibly harvested, native Vermont, hardwood maple with no finish.

"The Schoolhouse Naturals not only provide great open-ended play situations but without the finishes they also alleviate the concerns over toxic toys," said Jill Stackhouse, sales manager. "Children need more play time that is creative and open ended, and our Schoolhouse Naturals gives young children wonderful opportunities at play - eco-friendly, organic play. We are happy to partner with Plush Toys because their product focus is a good match for us - high quality, award-winning, ethically manufactured, natural and organic products."

This new exclusive distribution deal covers specialty toy and gift stores in New Zealand and Australia.

"We have had a lot of inquiries from Australian store owners that like our products but needed a better way to get product to their store and we hope Plush Toys is the answer to this situation," said Stackhouse.
