Inventor Bob Swenson dies at 84

JEFFERSONVILLE, Wis. - Robert E. "Bob" Swenson, inventor of the Rolocolor Coloring Desk and retired owner of Colorama Creations, died Friday, July 9, 2010. He was 84.
Swenson was born in Green Bay, Wis., and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He was also retired owner of Swenson Business Forms. He was a member of the Jeffersonville Optimist Club, the Elks Club and the Wisconsin Alumni Club. He was an Air Force veteran of WWII, an avid golfer and a Green Bay Packers fan.
His daughter, Kim Swenson, followed him into the industry and worked for Colorama Creations. The company was sold to Wrebbit in early 1999, but later closed.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Willa Heyn Swenson; three children, Kirk Alan Swenson and his wife, Kim E., of Jeffersonville, Lisa Kay O'Neal, of Martinsville and Kim I. Swenson and her husband, Bob Rouse, of Portland, Ore.; and four grandchildren, Amy E. Swenson, of Jeffersonville, Kyle A. Swenson, of Jeffersonville, Emily A. O'Neal, of Martinsville, and Katie A. O'Neal, of Martinsville.
Bob was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. My condolences to the family.
