Little Capers gets fresh new look for fall

Playthings Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 8/11/2010 9:31:38 AM

LOS ANGELES - Newly-founded company, Little Capers Acquisitions, Inc., has purchased Little Capers with plans to revitalize, expand and re-launch the children's apparel brand nationwide. Little Capers are T-shirts featuring non-commercial icons with detachable capes encouraging children to use their imagination, create their own superhero and select their super powers. The company will focus on two seasonal launches per year starting with the 1950's space exploration theme for Fall/Holiday 2010 and continuing with Spring/Summer lines in 2011. Each Little Capersseason will be uniquely themed and will feature two to four new characters tied to the individual concept.

"Using general symbols such as lightning bolts, stars, dragons and hearts, this one-of-a-kind superhero brand ignites creativity in children and inspires them to unleash their inner hero. As we start this exciting rebrand, we will keep the three mainstay characters, Bolt Boy, Zap Girl and Pow intact," said Shannon Komsky, president of Little Capers Acquisitions, Inc. "Kids and parents alike enjoy the convenience of the easily removable Velcro cape making the shirts a must-have addition to the wardrobe their children can wear at home or out-and-about with their parents."

Little Capers will also introduce Powerband Wristbands as new product in the collection this fall, which has already been picked up by Bubble, a trendy, children's boutique retailer in San Francisco. Little Capers Acquisitions, Inc. is actively exploring additional licensing opportunities to expand the brand into complementary categories including, but not limited to, backpacks and lunchboxes.

The Little Capers apparel line is currently being carried nationwide in retail locations including Kitson, Tough Cookies, Hipster Kid and M Fredric in California; A Time For Children in New York; Baby Bugaloo and Gypsy Wagon in Texas; Ga Ga For Kids in Michigan; and Lottie Da in Ohio, to name a few.
