Recession, Women Main Focus at IHA's CHESS Conference

Rosemont, IL—Recession-based opportunities and the advantages of marketing to women are the focus at the IHA's Chief Housewares Executive SuperSession (CHESS), a conference for housewares industry decision-makers, in October.
Adolfo Laurenti, deputy chief economist and managing director at Mesirow Financial, will give the opening keynote address, Time of Crisis, Time of Opportunities.
On day two of CHESS, Michael Silverstein senior partner and managing director at The Boston Consulting Group, will focus on the new "female economy" in his keynote "Women Want More — How to Capture Your Share of the World's Largest, Fastest-Growing Market."
Al Meyers will close CHESS with a talk on the U.S. retail landscape and the implications for housewares manufacturers and their retail partners in Retailing Trends to 2015: Recession to Recovery.
CHESS is scheduled for October 6–7 at The Intercontinental Chicago O'Hare in Rosemont, IL.
