In addition, a Special Award for Service to the Community was presented to double finalist Leon & Lulu of Clawson, Michigan, in recognition of the 65 events hosted in the store during the year, most of which raised funds for local charities.

Retailers were not the only ones to be honored; a hard-working sales rep and a manufacturer were also among the honorees. The Outstanding Manufacturers' Rep Award went to Julia Elliman of Goetz Inc. in Dallas. Elliman was a finalist in last year's program. The Outstanding Manufacturers' Rep finalists were chosen based on nominations by retailers who outlined the contributions that these salespeople make to benefit their businesses. And Lindsay Phillips of Lindsay Phillips LLC received recognition as this year's Industry Rising Star. The award is presented to companies in business three years or less.

Once again, the evening's program was capped off by Gift for Life, the gift, stationery and home industries charitable arm. Jenny Hammons, chairperson of the Gift for Life board, and Gift for Life founder Peter Schauben, presented the Gift for Life Industry Achievement Award to Randy Eller, Eller Enterprises, for his significant contributions to the industry.
