Roman, Precious Moments Ink Licensing Deal

GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 9/21/2010 11:45:18 AM

Bloomingdale, IL — Roman Inc. signed a licensing agreement with fellow giftware manufacturer Precious Moments Inc., to design and distribute inspirational product. PMI came to Roman for its expertise in the religious goods marketplace, the companies said in a statement, and the two companies will create a product line similar to Roman's that features Samuel J. Butcher's artwork.

The initial licensed introduction, due out this fall, will include sacramental gifts available for the first quarter of 2011. Later introductions will include more inspirational product, including plaques, crosses and frames, as well as a line of Christmas products.

Barbara Weston, director of giftware at Roman, said in a statement, "We are already working on a November introduction of the Precious Moments Communion Collection."

Precious Moments will continue to produce its own iconic collectible giftware, a company spokesperson told Gifts & Decorative Accessories.
