Jessica Kreider joined the 7 W New York/MMPI team as marketing manager. Kreider will work closely with vice presideJ KreiderJessica Kreidernt of marketing Su Hilty to support all of the 7 W New York events and shows and will assist in driving the mart's marketing initiatives. Kreider previously worked for MSKCC and BNP Media, as well as working on Fashion Week & The Tribeca Film Festival.

 

Joyce BurkholderJoyce BurkholderGift vendor Wellspring hired a new director of new product development, Joyce Burkholder. She brings 20 years experience in purchasing, sales and product development at Ten Thousand Villages. In addition, Jon Elliot has been promoted to senior sourcing and operations manager.

 

Bill Carpenter has resigned from home accents importer Imax, where he was vice president of retail development, according to Gifts & Decorative Accessories' sister publication Furniture Today. Carpenter said he resigned to pursue other opportunities in the industry. Imax President Al Bulak declined to comment.

accessories vendor Wolf Designs. She is based in Manhattan and handles key accounts. Prior to joining Wolf, Brunson most recently served as CFO of a software communication company in the fashion industry.

 

Gift and home décor sales rep Thelma Evans (Nott) passed away on October 24 after a year-long battle with cancer. Evans spent 40 years in the gift business, 20 of them with Elby Gifts. Her husband Nigel Nott will continue to visit customers in her territory for Elby Gifts. A memorial service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, Ontario, on Saturday, October 30. Donations in memoriam can be made to the Credit Valley Hospital Cancer Wing.

Big Idea Entertainment appointed VeggieTales co-creator and vice president of development Mike Nawrocki to executive vice president. The company also hired Mark Steele, president and executive Mark SteeleMark Steelecreative of Steelehouse Productions, to the newly created role of chief of creative affairs.
