GameMill Publishing to Develop Pinkalicious Interactive Game

Playthings Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 11/8/2010 4:48:03 PM

Edina, MN - Capitalizing on the popularity of the best-selling books for young girls, GameMill Publishing is partnering with Pinkalicious to develop an interactive video game for the Nintendo DS system. The game "Pinkalicious, it's Party Time" draws on the characters, themes and key elements found in the picture book series. It is scheduled to hit specialty and chain store shelves in spring 2011. The timing is set to coincide with launch of a new picture book in the Pinkalicious series, Silverlicious. The game, which is set to retail for about $29.99,  will feature a special Silverlicious unlockable game.

"Pinkalicious' success on the New York Times booklist speaks for itself and we're confident that a video game will resonate with parents, grandparents and kids alike; it is something that has been on little girls' wish lists for a long time," said Gary Miller, president, GameMill Publishing. "It is our goal to expand this proven brand in a way that both fans of the book series and video gamers alike will embrace and love to play."
