GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 11/29/2010 2:50:27 PM
Washington, DC - Yankee Candle, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, voluntarily
recalled 10" Silver and Gold Metallic Taper Candles made by General Wax & Candle Co. of North Hollywood, CA, because the metallic paint can ignite, posing a fire hazard. About 33,000 candles were sold exclusively at Yankee Candle stores from October-November of this year. No incidents or injuries were reported, and consumers can return them to any Yankee store or contact General Wax and Candle at 800.543.0642 for a full refund.
