This list is by no means comprehensive, nor is it a ranking. Many more than the 25 retailers listed here are strong retailers within their communities.

Whether they are located in large cities or small towns, this year's group of gifted retailers have a lot in common, yet they are very diverse. This dynamic group, drawn from across the country and ranging from gift and home stores to hospital shops to an online-only retailer, relies on creative merchandising, good customer service and a variety of special events to stand out and help drive sales.
