Jay Franco, Kidzworld Debut Pinkalicious Lines

Jane Kitchen -- Gifts and Dec, 2/9/2011 3:20:29 PM

New York -- Popular girls' book character Pinkalicious is moving into new territory with the launch of bedding, room decor and home furnishing lines from Jay Franco and Kidzworld.

The Pinkalicious bedding and coordinated room decor collections from Jay Franco will consist of iconic designs inspired by all three books in Victoria Kann's Pinkalicious series, including Pinkalicious, Purplicious and Goldilicious.

The initial line includes a bedding collection complete with comforters, sheet sets and embellished decorative pillows featuring the pink heroine, as well as other designs pulled from the pages of the book series, such as cupcakes and unicorns. The bedding and home decor program is set to launch spring 2011 at mass, mid-tier, specialty and retail chains nationwide.

An expanded assortment of children's beach towels, whimsical bath collections and accessories, including embellished towels, hooded character towels, toothbrush holders, soap dishes, lotion pumps, waste baskets, shower curtains and shaped rugs will launch in 2012.

Kidzworld launched a collection of Pinkalicious upholstered kids' furniture, targeting girls ages 3 to 7, at specialty and online accounts holiday 2010. With the success of the initial line, they will expand the program for 2011.

The Pinkalicious themed line includes a kid's recliner, sleep/sofa, skirted rocker with a matching skirted ottoman, and skirted bench. Price points in the Kidzworld line range from $99 to $199.

Pinkalicious, first published in 2006, has sold more than 5 million copies and spent 35 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller List. The fourth picture book, Silvericious, will be available winter 2011.
