La Vergne, TN - Major book distributor the Ingram Content Group is adding to the number of gifts and games it stocks for the general bookstore market, according to Publishers Weekly, after receiving a good response to a similar initiative aimed at Christian booksellers.
Ingram always carried some gifts by traditional publishers, but is now reaching out to new vendors. Ingram has contacted approximately 75 companies, primarily suggested by booksellers, and opened accounts with 35. The wholesaler is up to 5,400 SKUs and expects to reach 7,000 by June 1.
The greatest interest among general-interest independent bookstores is in plush toys, then activity sets and puzzles.
We would love your feedback!
