The Yankee Candle Company Inc. promoted Deborah Norris to the position of vice president general merchandise manager, merchandise planning and allocation. Hope Margala Klein, senior vice president of brand, design and innovation, will assume responsibility for the company's gift and accessory development teams.
Previously, Norris held the positions of vice president of consumer direct, fundraising and outlet businesses, and vice president of retail finance and planning.
Ben Menezes was named as vice president, wholesale finance and operations, after previously holding a similar position in the company's retail division. Steve Richardson was named vice president, retail finance and fundraising, after holding a similar position in the wholesale division.

appointed Julie Garza Kost to the position of vice president of sales. Elaine Hough Bauer, former vice president of sales, is transitioning to the new role of vice president of merchandising. Before joining Pacific

Trade International, Garza Kost began her career at Estee Lauder Companies in merchandising, education, and sales, later moving on to branding and sales at skin-care and cosmetics company Bare Escentuals.
American Greetings promoted Bill DeWitt to senior vice president of the North American Sales Group. The 30-year greeting card veteran will lead a newly constituted sales division comprised of the United States, Canada and Mexico. DeWitt previously served as national sales officer.
Dallas Market Center promoted Laura Dumas to vice president of creative services. Her responsibilities will include advertising, special events, visual merchandising and the company's custom publications. She previously served as senior director of marketing and senior director of creative services.
Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. hired Jamie Gragg as director of Market Suite Sales for The Chicago Market. Gragg will be responsible for leasing temporary booths for the Chicago Gift Market. She will report directly to Sara Dahlstrom, managing director of Market Suite Sales. Gragg previously worked for MMPI as the director of leasing for permanent and temporary showrooms in High Point, NC.
Rogaska appointed Brent McDaneld to the position of vice president of sales and marketing of its US affiliate Rogaska

America Inc. Brent McDaneld joins Rogaska from Baccarat Inc. where he served as vice president of merchandising, marketing and design for the North America Division.
Christine Schillig, vice president, book division, Andrews McMeel Publishing, will assume the role of executive editor. The company also established the position of vice president, executive producer reporting to Kirsty Melville, president, of the book division. The new position will assume many of the administrative and management duties formerly held by Schillig, and will lead AMP's advancements in the digital arena. AMP retained Ligature Partners Inc. to lead the executive search for this position.

Gary Biarsky
E.L.K. Lighting Group named Gary Biarsky to the position of western sales manager, reporting to James Ashley and John Haste, both vice presidents. Biarsky will manage the sales force in the western United States for E.L.K. Lighting, Landmark Lighting, Sterling Industries and Dimond, as well as setting up offices in Texas. 
Louis Cairo
Schréder Lighting US appointed Louis Cairo as sales engineer. Cairo will support the Schréder sales team with photometric applications and architectural renderings, as well as pole and bracket engineering. He will create technical sales presentations, photometric calculations and maintain a photometric database.
Meyda Lighting and Donnybrook appointed Max Cohen as upstate New York area sales manager for the company. Cohen will continue to serve as manager of Meyda's factory showroom in Yorkville, NY. Cohen is the son of Meyda CEO Robert Cohen and grandson of co-founders Meyer and Ida Cohen.
