NPD: Toys Top Candy for Easter

Port Washington, NY -A whopping 48 percent of this year's Easter baskets contained toys and games, according to research group NPD's KIDS tracker. Books came in at 24 percent and arts and crafts at 10 percent. Only 12 percent contained candy other than chocolate which, along with Easter eggs, was excluded by the wording of the question. Within toys and games, plush was tops at 22 percent; games and puzzles at 17 percent and dolls at 6 percent.
