MMPI  named Jeff Sampson, vice president of marketing for MMPI's L.A. Mart Design Center, to steward the California Gift Show brand, expanding his marketing oversight to MMPI's L.A. Mart West Coast operation. Sampson produced L.A. Mart's annual Gift for Life benefit from 2003-2007, raising nearly $200,000 for The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR). His honors include the Bert Tonken Gift of Giving award presented by Gift for Life and amfAR and the Wallace O. Ollman award presented by MMPI president Christopher G. Kennedy.
Joining him will be Sara Dahlstrom, managing director of sales, California Gift Show and The Chicago Market, who previously spent eight years with The Lang Companies. Trisha Schultz will join the California Gift Show in the newly created role of director of business development. She previously served as director of marketing for the Chicago Gift Show and for Market Square, as well as a buyer relations manager. Lefty Tsironis, marketing manager, previously held the same role for the L.A. Mart Design Center. Nicole Rubino, marketing manager, rounds out the lineup.

Sara Pilafas was appointed vice-president of new product development at Christian Brands. Pilafas previously served as president of Precious Moments Inc., as well as spending eight years at Enesco.

Online retailer Kidlandia hired Michael Chanover as vice president of product. Chanover will be responsible for the integrated design, development and rollout of a broad range of physical and digitals products for Kidlandia Kreechurs, as well as Kidlandia's licensed intellectual properties. He formerly served as global creative director of LeapFrog.
Don Traeger joins Kidlandia as director of mobile development. He will oversee the development and production of game apps for mobile devices. Traeger is the former founder and vice president of development for the sports franchise for Electronic Arts.

Kichler Lighting appointed Eric Borden as national sales manager. Borden will be responsible for the leadership, Eric BordenEric Bordenplanning and execution of all sales strategies and programs related to Kichler's dealer channel. Most recently, he served as director of sales and marketing for Enterprise Lighting Sales, a commercial and residential lighting sales agency in New York.

The International Council of Shopping Centers promoted Rachel McGreevy to vice president of state and local government relations. McGreevy will continue to develop and manage the ICSC government relations program in the United States and Canada.

BULBRITE appointed Brian Creeley to the position of director of residential sales. Creeley previously served as national sales manager for the past seven years. In his Brian CreeleyBrian Creeleynew position, Mr. Creeley will oversee the direction and growth of Bulbrite's residential lighting business, through the creation and implementation of results-oriented, strategic initiatives. He will guide and support the company's team of sales agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada, to ensure that they are aligned with Bulbrite's core values and objectives.

Linda Kinkler has been appointed vice president of sales at Red Pomegranate. She will be responsible for management of all domestic and international sales activities, with a focus on gowing the company's existing customer base, as well as developing new customers within the independent, specialty and department store categories.

Tyler Johnston has joined SnapRetail as the enw vice president of business development. In his new role, Johnston will lead the effor to build strong relationships with vendor partners, as well as with retailer associations and other groups that support the independent retailers. He comes from Danielson Designs where he served as vice president of sales for 10 years.
