Meyda Custom Lighting Expands Manufacturing Facilities within the U.S.

Yorkville, NY - Meyda Custom Lighting, a Meyda Tiffany company, has expanded the manufacturing facilities at its corporate headquarters, due to an increase in demand for domestic production.
"Expanding our manufacturing operation will help us improve our service with a more efficient operation that offers shorter lead times on our custom lighting fixtures," said CEO Robert Cohen. "In this uncertain economy, many distributors and specifiers want to buy American, and this expansion will fulfill that need."
Cohen also mentioned escalating overseas costs as a factor, as prices from suppliers in China have risen. Cohen said, however, the change was made to better serve Meyda's customers, who have shown interest in "Made in America" lighting products.
