Mud Pie to Sponsor GHTA Give Back Program

GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 7/2/2011 6:22:29 PM

Grand Rapids, MI - The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA)'s Give Back Program, held in conjunction with the GHTA's annual conference, will benefit Three Square, a non-profit organization that provides fresh and non-perishable food items to charitable organizations working to end hunger all over Southern Nevada. Mud Pie will sponsor the program, which will take place on Thursday, November 17, and volunteers from Zappos will join "Team GHTA" working on one of three projects, including assembling backpacks for its "Backpack for Kids Program."

During a lunch break, Zappos participants will share their view on the importance of incorporating philanthropic efforts into a company's culture, as well as the extraordinary support that Zappos provides to non-profits worldwide. A tour of the Zappos operation will follow.

"The GHTA believes in the importance of giving back by continuing to seek out and partner with worthwhile organizations where we see a need," says Beth Lang, GHTA chairman of the board. "The ‘Give Back' days give all of us a chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves and our own companies - it's a win-win for everyone!"

The GHTA Conference, held at the Red Rock Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, November 17-19. The working conference agenda is online.

Attendees interested in volunteering should email info@giftandhome.org with their reservation or call 877.600.4872 for additional information.
