Monday Stat: Consumers Looking for Decorative Accents

According to the 2017 Gift Book Consumer Survey, 72 percent of consumers plan to purchase decorative accents in the coming year, and 71 percent plan to purchase decorative pillows, throws and area rugs. 58 percent plan to purchase wall art, and 49 percent plan to purchase lighting. With these stats in mind, retailers will do well to carry inexpensive pieces for consumers to freshen their existing décor, including textiles, wall art and lighting.
