GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 8/2/2011 3:41:57 PM

Grand Rapids, MI -The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA) will host a roundtable discussion of how to build profitability within the gift and home industry at the New York International Gift Fair. Sponsored by the Fair, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, and GHTA, the event will take place at the Fair on Monday, August 15, from 7:30-9:30 a.m.

GHTA will publish a white paper summarizing the findings of the summit following the event.
Some 12 participants will represent all aspects of the industry, and will include Fred Pannek of Mud Pie, Eric Dean of Wheroware, Randy Eller of Eller Enterprises, Doug Cofiell of Ivystone, Laurie Gilner of C.R. Gibson, Barbara Knight of Just Got 2 Have It!, and several 2011 Retail Excellence Award nominees. The event will be moderated by Caroline Kennedy and Warren Shoulberg of Gifts & Decorative Accessories.
Those interested in submitting questions to the panel may do so by emailing GHTA Board members Beth Lang or John Keiser by August 5.

"Our thoughts are to make this an annual event," Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president, said in a statement. "With its convergence of industry thought leaders and industry trend-setters, NYIGF offers the perfect platform for this type of industry ‘think tank.'"
