Diane Carnevale Jones Stepping Down from GHTA

GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 8/12/2011 3:57:24 PM

Diane Carnevale JonesGrand Rapids, MI - Diane Carnevale Jones will step down as executive director of the Gift & Home Trade Association (GHTA), effective September 15. Jones, who has served as the GHTA's executive director since 2007, decided to step down in order to focus on building her new business, the Carnevale Jones Group, which she launched in early May.

During her tenure, Carnevale Jones worked with several boards to position the GHTA for growth by assisting and facilitating the launch of new benefits and programs, including industry health insurance, the Brandwise Gift and Home Index, First Friday webinars and a Public Policy program to monitor laws that affect the industry.

Marc Rice, president of the GHTA, says, "Heartfelt thanks to Diane for her many years of service to the GHTA. Diane was a joy to work with. Under her watch, the GHTA accomplished many of its goals. Without Diane's tenacity and enthusiasm, I'm not sure we would have accomplished as much as we have."

The GHTA board of directors is currently evaluating candidates for the executive director position.
