Wayne, NJ - Toys "R" Us announced that it plans to open fewer temporary pop-up stores this year for the holiday selling season, a time when the toy retailer achieves more than 40 percent of its annual sales.
According to Reuters, spokeswoman Kathleen Waugh declined to give the exact number of pop-up stores to be opened this year or the reason behind the decision to reduce the number. She noted that TRU's CEO Jerry Storch should shed more light at the company's holiday preview event in September.
