Evergreen Enterprises Recalls Pourable Gel Fuel

Washington, DC - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Evergreen Enterprises Evergreen gel ffuel , voluntarily recalled about 23,400 Fireside Gel Fuel Bottles which were distributed by Evergreen and manufactured by 2 Burn Inc. of Milwaukee, WI. They were sold at independent retailers from December 2010 through September 2011 for between $9.99 and $11.99, some with citronella and some without.
The pourable gel fuel can ignite unexpectedly and splatter onto people and objects nearby when poured into a firepot that is still burning, posing fire and burn risks that can be fatal. Evergreen Enterprises is not aware of any reports of incidents involving Fireside Gel Fuel.
The recall follows other recalls of pourable gel fuels from several different vendors in June and September.

I purchased the fire gel and the pots for the gel from Evergreen. I had no problem in returning everything! My rep. and Evergreen was great. My question is, what is the responsibility of the manufacture of the GEL! These companies are taking the brunt for the loss, I even received the shipping back from Evergreen. I hope that Evergreen and other companies will be taken care of by the manufacturer. I just a shame that people DO NOT READ INSTRUCTIONS, they get hurt and someone else has to pay because they were stupid!
