GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 11/7/2011 4:16:51 PM

New York - Jack Withiam will step down as the Greeting Card Assn. (GCA)'s executive vice president, effective December 31. Susan January, president of the association, made the announcement in an open letter to membership. Withiam will be departiPatti StracherPatti Stracherng from George Little Management, where he served as senior vice president, after advising the new management team during a transitional period.

Patti Stracher, show manager of the GLM-produced National Stationery Show, will become the new GCA executive vice president beginning January 1, 2012. The rest of the GCA staff, including Kelly Bristol, Aaron Hazard and Judy Cheris, will remain in their current roles.

Said January, "all of us who know [Withiam] and who have had the incredible pleasure of working with him will miss his skilled leadership and insights, along with his vast institutional and industry knowledge." She continued, "Patti's role with the National Stationery Show will quickly evolve to become more strategic in nature, which will free up the time required for her to provide strong leadership to the GCA."
