LIMA, BSR Release Guide to Social, Environmental Compliance

GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 11/17/2011 3:57:25 PM

San Francisco and New York - The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association (LIMA) and consulting and research firm BSR released "Good Practices for Complying with Licensors' Social and Environmental Requirements: A Practical Guide for Licensees".

The 28-page guide is designed to help licensees and their suppliers, sub-contractors and agents meet licensors' requirements for human rights and labor practices, occupational health and safety, environmental compliance, governance and anti-corruption. It contains tips and resources to help licensees improve working conditions within their direct and contract manufacturing operations and supply chains, identify and understand compliance risks, disclose factory information to licensors and work with suppliers to address noncompliance issues and create corrective plans.

The publication was developed with the Licensing Working Group, which includes LIMA and BSR as well as Hasbro, NBCUniversal, Time Warner and The Walt Disney Company. The guide is now available as a free download on the LIMA website.
