ICON Honors 2012 Calls for Submissions

GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 11/28/2011 4:47:45 PM

Atlanta - The 2012 ICON HONORS Call for Submissions and Nominations opens today. Retailers, manufacturers, sales agents and service providers are all invited to submit and nominate. ICON HONORS is again sponsored by the Gift and Home Trade Association and Sandow Media, parent company of Gifts & Decorative Accessories, in partnership with AmericasMart Atlanta.

The third annual Honors will be presented in three categories-Innovation, Contribution and Achievement. Innovation and Contribution Honors are conferred by submission and must be for programs conducted and completed between January 1 and December 31, 2011. Achievement Honors are conferred only by independent nomination. All submissions and nominations are made entirely online to streamline the process. Further details are available on the AmericasMart website.

Submissions and nominations will be evaluated by a panel of judges from the retail, manufacturing and design communities. Honorees will be announced prior to the ICON HONORS 2012 Celebration, which is scheduled in Atlanta for Saturday, July 14, 2012, during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

Kidding Around

Kids products that combine high play value and a design sensibility that blends with mom and dad's house are sure winners for specialty shops, who can market themselves as an alternative to cheap plastic imports and their problematic safety records.

EcoGreen

Green products have become more of a staple now. The products are not only good for the environment, today's collections also boast great design.

Just for Fun

Vendors' sense of fun was evident this summer with many offering light-hearted and fun accessories for the home and for the self.
