PMI, Roman Equip Joplin Families for Christmas
GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 12/2/2011 3:00:16 PM
Joplin, MO - On December 2, ten Joplin familes whose homes were destroyed by May's natural disaster will be guests of the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO. There they will receive Christmas trimmings to decorate the new homes built for them through the efforts of the Tulsa Habitat for Humanity, Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity, and volunteers and donations from around the world.
A "mini mall" is being set up in the Visitors' Center at the Chapel, where families can "shop" for the makings of a perfect Christmas setting. Spearheaded by Precious Moments Inc. employees, more than a dozen businesses joined forces to provide pre-lighted trees, ornaments, figurines, a Nativity set, and a gift card they can use to buy gifts and food for the celebration.
Gift vendors Precious Moments Inc. and Roman Inc. and online gift and home retailer Hayneedle.com were among the major donors.
We would love your feedback!
