Former Ty President to Head Midwest-CBK

Charleston, SC - MVP Group Intl. named Scott Wehrs as president of seasonal, home decor and candle manufacturer Midwest-CBK. Wehrs formerly served as president and COO of plush powerhouse Ty Inc. Wehrs will immediately take on the role of president of Midwest-CBK. He succeeds Rick Contino, who left last July.

Mary Propes, CEO and founder of MVP Group International, said in a statement, "We are very excited about the future of Midwest-CBK with Scott at the helm, with plans for rapid growth in the premium channel as well as other markets."
MVP bought Midwest-CBK last year from Blyth Inc. MVP has relaunched the Colonial Candle brand, introduced Everybody's Ayurveda, and is planning to expand internationally.
