Sikalis to Head GLM Business Development
GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 1/18/2012 5:52:29 PM
White Plains, NY - George Little Management (GLM) named Penny Sikalis as vice president, business development, effective immediately. Sikalis will be responsible for researching and evaluating new show launches and potential show acquisitions. She will report to CEO Charles McCurdy. Sikalis will also maintain her current position as vice president/show manager, SURTEX. (Sikalis joined GLM in 1994 and was named vice president in 2000.)
Sikalis' appointment is a step toward the goals articulated when GLM was acquired by Providence Equity Partners in September 2011. At that time Michael J. Dominguez, a managing director at Providence, said in a statement, "We believe there are significant opportunities to grow GLM's tradeshow brands in the U.S. and internationally both organically and through acquisition."
Finally! Penny deserves the promotion and the recognition of her expertise in the trade show arena.
