International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association Issues Call for Speakers for 2018 Education Programs

Opportunity for experts across brand licensing, media, social media marketing, digital, advertising, public relations and beyond to share their expertise with key licensing decision makers.

LIMANEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2017 – The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) is now inviting industry experts to participate as presenters in its range of professional programming, including webinars, seminars and roundtable discussions, as well as its annual Licensing University program.

LIMA’s speaking engagements provide experts from across licensing, retail, advertising, marketing and beyond the opportunity to share their expertise with important decision-makers across industries, including executives from major entertainment studios, top IP owners, professional sports organizations, leading agencies and more.

“Our educational programs taking place around the world foster professional connections across multiple industries that can lead to long-lasting, business-enhancing strategic partnerships,” said LIMA President Charles Riotto. “Each year, we enlist top experts in their field to lead discussions that provide the industry with the knowhow to best position their companies and brands for optimal growth. At the same time, it is an ideal opportunity for leaders in many different areas of business to showcase their expertise and gain valuable visibility.”

Experts are sought from within licensing as well as the greater business community who can provide unique insight and strategic thinking on the latest trends in their respective industries. Previous LIMA programs have centered on everything from case studies on emerging brands to identifying opportunities in growth markets such as India and China. Other topics have included location-based experiential programming, food and beverage branding and marketing and managing an overnight sensation.

In addition, LIMA is inviting potential speakers to submit session topics for its annual Licensing University program, held during Licensing Expo, the industry’s main trade event, owned and organized by UBM Americas and sponsored by LIMA. Areas of interest for 2018 sessions include:

  • Detailed case studies on product and property introductions and brand extensions
  • Retail strategies and trends
  • Digital marketing strategies
  • Social media strategies
  • Forward-looking sessions on growth categories and market segments
  • Maximizing emerging media platforms
