Chicago - Word Winder has entered into an international licensing agreement with Basic Concepts of Hong Kong. The agreement gives Basic Concepts an exclusive international license to manufacture, market, sell and distribute the Word Winder board game, including non-English language versions, outside of the United States and Canada. The game made its international debut at the Hong Kong Toy Fair in January and the Nuremberg Toy Fair earlier this month, and just made its U.S. debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York.
Los Angeles - Banpresto Co. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Namco Bandai Games Inc., has named Syncretic Media as the exclusive United States and Canada Merchandising & Licensing Agent and Brand Manager for a new collection of lifestyle products inspired by its popular Japanese line, "Kapi•Bara•San." Dream International has been named the brand's plush licensee for the United States.
Los Angeles - Saban Brands has entered into new licensing agreements for its Power Rangers brand with Blip Toys, Pressman Toy and Mega Brands. Blip Toys will release a collection of Power Rangers Samurai Squinkies; Pressman Toy is introducing board games based on the Power Rangers Samura tv series; and Mega Brands unveiled Mega Bloks Power Rangers Super Samurai.
Burbank, CA - Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) has named The Bridge Direct, a global children's consumer products company, as the master toy licensee for Looney Tunes and it new animated television series, The Looney Tunes Show. The Bridge Direct will develop a comprehensive collection of products based on the iconic Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, Taz and Road Runner, among others. The multi-category product line will include plush, figures, figure playsets, vehicles, and role play items to be available at retail in fall 2012.
