Byers' Choice Introduces Custom Caroler to Vaillancourt

GDA Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 4/27/2012 1:28:31 PM

SUTTON, MA - Byers' Choice president, Bob Byers Jr., will visit the upcoming Vaillancourt Folk Art 17th Annual Collector's Weekend on April 28 and introduce a custom caroler figure, specially made for the event.

Known for their famous Caroler figurines, Byers will discuss the concept behind the new introduction, which features Santa holding a handful of Vaillanvourt collectables. Byers will also autograph the collectible for fans and speak about the importance of American-made products and family-run businesses like Byers' Choice.

Byers' Choice founder (and Bob's mother), Joyce Byers, began making the iconic Byers' Choice Carolers on her dining room table in the 1960s. The hobby soon grew into a family business, and today the company employs more than 100 artisans in Pennsylvania. Each year, Byers' Choice provides hundreds of thousands of Carolers to independent gift stores across the United States.

"Keeping jobs in America is important to Byers' Choice and my family," said Bob Byers Jr. in a statement. "Manufacturing products at our workshop in Bucks County allows us to ensure what we produce maintains the quality and integrity of our family name."

The Vaillancourt Folk Art 17th Annual Collector's Weekend will also include educational lectures, limited-edition pieces, workshops, a reception and dinner. Reservations are required for each event. Tickets can be purchased online at the Vaillancourt site.
