The gifted retailers of 2012 represent a number of different types of retail shops that make up the universe of gift retailing: resort shops, hospital gift shops, framing and craft galleries, toy stores, stationery stores, fashion boutiques, tea shops and interior design firms, as well as general gift and home decor stores.

Gifts and Decorative Accessories' exclusive report, 25 Gifted Retailers 2012, presents snapshots of independent gift and decorative accessory retailers that are using innovating approaches to marketing and merchandising and are making a difference in their communities.

This list is by no means comprehensive, nor is it a ranking. Many more than the 25 retailers listed here are strong retailers within their communities.
