Cottage Garden Gives Back

BAINBRIDGE, IN - Cottage Garden brightened up the Christmas season for two local Bainbridge, IN families. This past Christmas, the Cottage Garden family raised more than $600 to buy Christmas gifts for the three children of the adopted families who would otherwise not have any gifts waiting under the tree.
This is a tradition at Cottage Garden that "started about eight years ago when the staff was trying to think of a gift to give me," relates Mark Timm, Cottage Garden president. They came up with the idea of giving a gift instead to a needy family in his behalf.
In addition to raising money, Cottage Garden also held a charity auction selling items received from various sources. All the proceeds went to help local needy families. "Cottage Garden cares about our community; we live here, our kids go to school here, and there are families that are not as fortunate as we are," says Timm. "They made deals with local retailers and totally filled the back end of a truck with coats, gloves, hats, and lots of great toys. It was the highlight of our Christmas party."
