The Awards 2001 Finalists: Promotion
Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 8/1/2001
A pink-clad cowboy yelling "Giddy OOP!," a green and gold shopping bag traveling the world, a Betty Boop impersonator dishing up ice cream, and a Make a Difference poster promoting the love of reading were features of campaigns carried out by the finalists in the Promotion category of the 2001 Merchandising Achievement Awards. The complete stories of each begin on the next page.
The 12 finalists for Store Design, Promotion, and Visual Merchandising were announced in last month's issue. The Store Design finalists were featured in that issue, and the Visual Merchandising finalists will appear in the September issue.
All the finalists will be honored and the Gold and Silver Award winners will be announced at a gala reception and dinner at New York's Plaza hotel on Sunday, August 19.
