The Syratech Corporation, East Boston, MA, appointed Tony LaChapelle executive vice president of corporate brand strategy, and Paul Krueger as a divisional vice president. LaChapelle will also assume the title of executive vice president of Towle Silversmiths, where he will take over the day-to-day operations. He will also oversee sales and marketing for the Syratech subsidiaries Rochard and Limoges Imports, and the European sales of C.J. Vander. Krueger will take over as divisional head of Rochard, C.J. Vander, and Rauch Industries.
Display Technologies (DT), College Point, NY, manufacturer of point-of-purchase displays, promoted Joe Herrmann to executive vice president and general manager. Herrmann will assume managerial responsibilities for the financial, administrative, and information technology departments, as well as logistics and quality control. He will also oversee operations for DT subsidiaries Trade Fixtures LLC and NewLeaf Designs LLC.
Lawrence Bryan was named worldwide CEO of Portmeirion Group PLC, Stoke-on-Trent, England. He will continue as president of Portmeirion USA, as well as overseeing operations for the Portmeirion Group around the world. Bryan has been with Portmeirion USA for more than seven years, following a 12-year tenure with Wedgwood. He was appointed a director in 1999.
Artificial flower manufacturer Aldik, a Moorpark, CA-based division of Decorative Concepts Inc. (DCI), appointed Michael Stadlberger president. He succeeds Larry Gold, who was named vice chairman of DCI. Since joining Aldik in 1987, Stadlberger has served as regional sales manager, vice president of marketing, and executive vice president. Prior to joining Aldik he worked for Select Artificial Flower Co.
Lladro named Jean-Luc Negre to the newly created position of executive vice president of Lladro North America. Negre was a consultant for Lladro at its headquarters in Valencia, Spain, since the beginning of 2001. He has more than 25 years' experience with luxury goods manufacturers such as Givenchy and Baccarat. Negre will be based in Moonachie, NJ.
George Little Management (GLM) promoted Aubin Wilson to group manager. She will continue to serve as show manager for ExTracts, and take on new responsibilities as marketing director for the International New Age Trade Shows and the Orlando Gift Show, handling all interaction between GLM and Universal Shows Inc. Wilson will also act as a liaison between GLM and Urban Expositions for matters related to The Gift Fair In Atlanta.
