Russ Berrie's Ben Sottile Retires

Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 6/1/2002

Oakland, NJ— Benjamin J. Sottile, vice chairman of Russ Berrie and Co. Inc., retired, but continues to serve on the company's board of directors. Company chairman Russ Berrie said, "Ben joined the company in 1999 to help put together a top management team. I am pleased to say that he has accomplished this, as Russ has new leadership." Before 1999, Sottile served as a consultant to Russ, and was a member of the company's board of directors from 1984 to 1986.
