The May issue of Gifts & Dec contained wrong information about the appointment of Jim Forte as director of product development and marketing for Rawcliffe Pewter Company, Providence, RI, a division of The Encore Group. Forte was the former owner and CEO of Fort USA, a manufacturer of fine pewter giftware and collectibles. Fort USA was founded in 1945 by the Forte family, and Jim Forte joined the family-owned and -operated business in 1976. He became president in 1984 and CEO in 1990. In his new position, Forte will oversee all aspects of product development, licensing, and marketing for Rawcliffe, which was recently acquired by The Encore Group.
