GLM Explores H'wares Launch

White Plains, NY — George Little Management LLC (GLM) is looking into creating an annual housewares show to run in conjunction with the January edition of its Gift Fair in Atlanta event. The company has commissioned George Collins Consulting to conduct a market study of the need for such a show. The launch date of the housewares show is tentatively set for January 2004. It will be held in the Georgia World Congress Center, site of the Gift Fair, which is co-produced by GLM and Urban Expositions. The housewares show will be an independent show, produced solely by GLM. According to Alan Steel, GLM's executive vice president, the company saw an opportunity when the International Housewares Association moved its annual Chicago housewares show from January to March, beginning in 2004.
