TIA Expands Member Categories

New York — The Toy Industry Association Inc. (TIA), the trade organization for producers and importers of toys and games, expanded its membership eligibility to include North American–based non-manufacturers and toy companies in the United States and Canada. The change in TIA's bylaws clears the way for groups such as licensors, sales reps,and other trade associations, as well as trade and consumer magazines that cover the toy industry, to become eligible for membership. The new membership rules were announced by Neil Friedman, TIA board chairman and president of Fisher-Price Inc.
