Chicago — Robert Ganshorn sold his rep firm, Ganshorn & Associates Inc., to Cody Abbott, effective June 1. Abbott's background includes 11 years as a buyer for such companies as Spiegel catalog, Merrill Chase Galleries, and Motivational Excellence. Ganshorn, age 49, had planned on retiring at 54, but jumped the gun when given the opportunity to sell to Abbott. Ganshorn & Associates will maintain the same telephone number and showroom location in the Chicago Merchandise Mart (suite 15-100). The firm name will stay the same for the immediate future.
