Enesco pulled out all the stops for its Customer Appreciation Gala and the unveiling of the Precious Moments 25th anniversary pieces during the Dallas Super Market in June. The event took place in the ballroom of the Renaissance hotel, adjacent to the Dallas Market Center. Some 500 retailers were treated to food, drink, entertainment, and speeches by chief executive Dan DalleMolle, founding chairman Gene Freedman, and the son of Precious Moments' sculptor Yashuhei Fujioka. Then came a drum roll and the unveiling of ten figurines and a plush bear. All are limited-edition pieces, with prices ranging from $25 (for three of the figurines and the bear) to $375 (for the club member exclusive figurine, "A Portrait of Loving, Caring, and Sharing"). The first 25 years attracted 175,000 Precious Moments club members, and saw the production of millions of figurines. Enesco and its retailers are hoping the magic continues for another 25 years.
