MBNA to Introduce Kinkade Card

Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 9/1/2002

Morgan Hill, CA — Media Arts Group Inc., designer, manufacturer, and branded retailer of gifts and accessories based on the artwork of Thomas Kinkade, joined in an agreement with MBNA America Bank to issue the Thomas Kinkade "Painter of Light" credit card. The card will offer special benefits, including opportunities to purchase Kinkade paintings. Each year, Media Arts Group will select a charity to receive a portion of the royalties from the credit card program. This year, The Salvation Army will be the program's beneficiary.
