Los Angeles — Charles Wysocki, whose idealized views of American life appear on a range of gift products, died on July 30. The 73-year-old artist passed away following complications from surgery for a stomach ailment. Wysocki was born in Detroit, served in the U.S. Army, and studied at the Los Angeles Art Center.
Washington — The Greeting Card Association (GCA) reported the passing of R. Michael Robert, chairman of Robert Paper Co., on July 30. Robert, 67, spent 43 years at the company founded by his father, Robert M. Robert, in 1934. Robert Paper joined the GCA in 1956.
